I'm here (1st Entry for 2010)

First of all, a change of font color here heh.
I'm on leave today and being bored, I typed "butter4toast" in Yahoo Search Engine..... and here I am.

I read thru all the past entries to the very first blog in Jan 2008 by "Butter and Toast", some entries brought me smile and some.......brought me tears.

Going through memory lane is always a difficult task for me...it makes me wish "If only I could turn back time" to be with someone again. A chance to be a much better granddaughter, this is one regret which I'm gonna live with....my heart still burns today....so much that I often dream that I was still a kid in the Katong Coffee Shop with her busy cooking in the kitchen! It aches everytime I wake up :(

I also miss my best friend , Chris. I admire her for the strength and courage. A battle well fought!

2008 - 2010 is an emotional roller coaster for me....but yet with a blink! Here I am, happily married at present with a OK (which I hope...could be better :P) job.

I would love to travel and take lotsa nice photos. Someday when I grow old, I can share these beautiful pics and little stories with my grandchildren :)

~Time is indeed the most valuable thing to spend...and yet most of it is wastefully spent..paradox of life!~

Dedicate to my beloved MaMA and Christina Toh...always in my heart...I miss you & not forgetting.... a "toast" to these 2 wonderful women in my life!!!!

Formula 1 ~ 25th September 2009

Toast:

~Formula One Singapore 25th - 27th September 2009~

Thanks to the company, got 2 passes to F1 on Friday with seats @ Stamford Grand Stand (Suntec / Marina Square area). A practice night for F1. Went with my sis, Butter had to go M'sia to attend his buddy's wedding. Good view of a portion of the track but could only catch glimpse of the polished cars as they sped past us. Luckily we bought the survival kit at S$2 each which included a pair of ear plugs and 1 poncho, otherwise we would be going home with damaged ear drums...but I should say...the sound of the cars got me quite excited initially heh

Honestly, I won't pay for tickets to F1. It's too expensive...so are the food/drinks and mechandise. I rather pay for a room in Fairmont, a better view of the track and a private party with close friends...oh.... not too mention...at least we can hear one another's talking in an air-conditioned room!

I captured some action shots below (using Butter's Cannon DSLR). 80% of the shots taken were empty tracks due to the speed of the racers. Without the safety cage, the photos would be much nicer...but that would mean risk dying young. Anyway the battery went flat in less than 2 hrs *sob*
A shot of somebody's digi cam heh. Personally thought this is a nice pic.

Like this pic too.

Also like this shot..see the man in cap and the ferrari

This is cute. Boy with ear set

It's been a while...

Toast:

Gosh the last post was in May! Anyway, can't believe that I'm getting married in a month's time. The legal one heh. ROM on 21st Oct!

The wedding plans going well...trying my very best to prevent last minute "kok ups"......well.....

Honestly, I'm looking forward to my honeymoon (and not the wedding day which give me butterflies). We are going to New Zealand for 10 days and Air tickets already paid for. Thinking of that, I'm so excited! It's a free and easy trip, hence we spent quite some time checking out the websites on airfares, hotels and locations of travel. The satisfaction when we finally got the itinerary in place!
As I'm also kinda into photography right now, so I'm going to take some "Pro" shots there with the intention of doing up a calendar on landscapes...only the lucky ones will receive a copy from me hahahaha (Paris next time coz I can't take cold in Dec!)

Here are some photos taken by myself which I'm quite pleased with :P
From: I'm A Fotographor / 4th Sep'09 - Jurong Bird Park

Nice? heh

Butter - This is for you.

I love this pic (Taken by Butter 2 weeks ago at a Bugis Cafe). I do look different from the past, much more a lady I guess haha.

Stopped blogging for a while, well for once I found difficulty putting my thoughts in words, or perhaps life has become too routine for myself. Anyhow, I'm back.

________________________________________

Hmmn...where shall I start? The Wedding.

"I'm getting married." looking at myself in the full-length mirror.

Our Bridal Shop - Golden Horse Awards (Yishun). I'm done with the gowns selection, photoshoot will be on 09 July 2009. Selecting gown wasn't easy, trust me.

Our Rings - Soo Kee. Got dem' from the warehouse sale months back, 0.5 Diamond Ring for me ("Why don't you get a 1 carat?" They asked. Nah I'm contented with this). It is beautiful and I love it! His was a simple ring chosen by himself. I'm happy that we got something we truly like without burning a hole in the pocket. Really a go for money!

The Proposal - How did he propose to me? There was no proposal. "Why no?!" Most of my galfriends would question unbelievably when they heard that. "Yup. No proposal." I would sometimes reply sheepishly. It wasn't that I actually felt embarrassed there wasn't one, just that they kinda put you in an awkard spot ya. Then they would gush about theirs or even others' proposals, making you feel bad...like "Hey, you are too easy!"

I'm very guilty of complaining to Butter. In the first place, so what there is no proposal? So what there wasn't any proposal ring? It's foolish to believe that without a proposal, Butter was insincere. It was really silly of me. Of coz a proposal would be a bonus, but without it, I'm still very happy.

Butter is definitely no romantic guy...but every daily thing he does, he does it with his heart and always with a smile without fail. Baby, thanks! you are wonderful. Yes I do love diamonds (since a kid), and I love shopping, but one day if you ask me to choose, I will choose you coz you are irreplaceable. At times I do complain about you...but please don't take it to heart, coz those would be the stuff I would miss badly without - Yes! - "Beautifully imperfect". Stay the way you are dear.

Honeymoon - Butter is bringing me to Paris! Now waiting for the NATAS Fair, heard there will be great deals! Saving money now, hope to buy a bag since on the way heh.

I don't believe in spending alot to make it a dream wedding. Wedding is about the 2 of us. And happiness can never be measured with money. It would be superficial then. Anyway, marrying to a guy like Butter, is more than a dream come true. What more can I ask for?

Dear, let's work hard together for our future. You won't be alone. That's my word to you.

We are still around!

Butter:

yes yes, we are still very much around despite not writing much here. Kinda busy with the life nowadays.... Ok ok, so so busy only, admit is kinda lazy. =P

Wedding stuffs are going great, alot of things is steadily getting settled. Now is just the litle minor details we need to sort out.

Planning ahead, I am going to start on my room now to await the big day when toast move in. A big makeover from a bachelor room to a newly wed room. I know toast isn't happy with my room at all. Too much stuffs around. Gadets, DVDs, games, comics etc, you know... the typical guy's room.

I am looking forward to the change as well. A lot needs to be done, painting, clearing of old furnitures, re-wiring etc. But I guess will be fun though hehe. Exciting!
